Moving Beyond Surviving Ministry to Thriving Leadership
Ministry leadership often feels like navigating uncharted waters without a compass. You entered the calling with passion and vision, yet find yourself overwhelmed by spiritual warfare, difficult people, financial pressures, and constant demands pulling you from family and your relationship with God. The gap between ministry dreams and reality leaves you questioning your call and wondering if you're truly equipped for the journey.
Pastors Jan and Dale Simmons understand these struggles intimately. With over eighty years of combined ministry experience, they've emerged with hard-won wisdom. Equipped for the Journey reveals their battle-tested roadmap through ten essential core values including:
-
being accountable and certain of your calling
-
staying authentic to who God made you to be
-
remaining teachable and open to correction
-
maintaining integrity in family and ministry
-
developing tenacity to weather storms
Each chapter offers practical insights on prayer, maintaining a positive attitude, selfless love, and mentoring others. By applying these principles, you'll develop unshakeable confidence in your calling, build lasting relationships that withstand storms, and create sustainable ministry that honors both God and family. You'll lead with authentic love, navigate challenges with wisdom, and fulfill your destiny as an effective shepherd in God's kingdom.
