First grade Phonics is split into two books. Phonics Book 2 is designed for the 6-7 year-old who has already learned the letters and sounds of the 26 letters of the alphabet and who has completed Book 1 of grade 1 Phonics. The material is presented in an easy-to-follow format over 18 weeks that will introduce the blends, digraphs, and diphthongs found in the English language. Working through the curriculum will assist your child as they continue to learn how to read. Reading the Bible and other favorite books to your children will only enhance this curriculum.
